With this in mind, our production process is oriented entirely to the requirements of our customers - with state-of-the-art production processes and precisely coordinated processing steps guaranteeing the consistently high quality of our needles at all times.
This helps prevent costly and annoying machine downtime and contributes towards ensuring trouble-free production processes for our customers.
A large number of different processing stations have to be passed through before a needle is considered finished. First of all comes stamping, bending or blanking of the raw material. Only then does the needle take on its final shape and form following a large number of subsequent work processes.
A first class equipment outfit and our own toolmaking and machine engineering department are essential for the production of high-quality needles. Other factors guaranteeing quality are the decades of experience and extensive fund of expertise provided by our highly qualified work force.
The key to Groz-Beckert's top quality production standards is the smooth running and interaction of, in some cases, over one hundred work stages using state-of-the-art machines. The outstanding degree of precision achieved in this way produces needles of absolute uniformity which conform to the most stringent requirements at all times.
Every stage of the production process is accompanied by a strict framework of quality controls. Needle geometry, for example, is examined using a 3D coordinate measuring device. Particular attention is paid to the achievement of microscopic tolerances.
